Colonna sonora immaginaria per il film documentario di genere muto "Grass: A Nation's Battle For Life", di Merian C. Cooper e Ernest Schoedestack.

Il film segue le peregrinazioni della tribù dei Bakhtiyari, in un viaggio che coinvolge oltre 50.000 persone e un numero imprecisato di animali.

E’ un viaggio dallo scopo tanto semplice quanto necessario: cercare nuove terre da coltivare e dove poter allevare il bestiame.
Così, spinti da niente altro che da questo semplice quanto umano bisogno, l’intera tribù si muove tra i territori dell’odierna Turchia e dell’Iran.

Il viaggio non sarà per nulla semplice e il popolo Bakhtyari dovrà superare non poche difficoltà per giungere al territorio desiderato, tra montagne apparentemente proibitive da scalare e fiumi impossibili da guadare.

A seguirli per tutta la durata del viaggio due registi americani e una giornalista inglese, testimoni diretti di una traversata dai caratteri quasi rituali, pur nella sua cruda realtà.

La musica è stata eseguita in presa diretta, seguendo le scorrere delle scene.
